Skip is a 10lb dachshund mix who is 12 years old. Skip came to us as a stray and he’s the sweetest little love. He’s very laidback, and his favorite things to do are follow his human around and cuddle. He’s ready for the forever home he deserves and a family to love on.
Environment
Skip is house-trained but doesn’t like to be in a crate.  He can be vocal at times so shared walls are not advisable.
Skip has past injuries which prevent him from walking long distances, and he is a bit of a flight risk so he will need a fenced yard to get a bit of exercise in. Most of the time he’s happy to be in his couch potato era.
Pets & People
Skip has done well with all the dogs he’s encountered so far and would be fine with or without a doggy buddy in his new home. He seems to prefer smaller dogs. Playful puppies or large dogs would require extra supervision due to his past injuries. He has been around other dogs while eating, and he doesn’t try to take their food but he very courteously will go check they all cleaned their bowls after.
Skip greets new people very vocally but warms up quickly. He won’t be suitable in a home with young children as he needs predictability and a gentle environment. He loves people and wants a lap to lay on at all times.
