Ginger Snap Bio

Ginger Snap is a funny, friendly, and mischievous six year old dachshund mix. She weighs around 12lbs and was surrendered to us by her owner who could no longer provide her with the consistent and stable home she needs. Ginger is looking forward to snuggles and adventures alike with her new family. 

Environment

Ginger Snap is not crate trained and still has work to do on house training. While she is mostly good, she has taking to leaving a gift for her fosters every morning. With patience and a schedule she has the smarts to learn and adapt. Ginger will need a fenced yard because she LOVES to be outside and spends a lot of time out there running and playing with the other dogs. She enjoys going for walks and does best with company. When she’s left for too long she gets anxious and chews. A home with shared walls won’t be appropriate for Ginger Snap since she’s quite excitable and chatty at times!

Pets & People

Ginger Snap is a social butterfly, she greets new visitors at the door and makes them feel most welcome by introducing herself confidently. She loves all adults but especially women, and has been fine with the children she’s met so far too. Around other dogs she plays nicely and babies the little ones (very sweet) although she’s always happy to ‘help’ any slower eaters find the bottom of the bowl.
