Daisy is a 9-year-old qween who just wants to be your BFF. She came in overweight at 27 pounds and is now 23 -- she is more of a standard sized dachshund. Daisy is 50% play fiend and 50% snuggle bug and she’s looking for a new home where she can find that balance after someone in the last one developed allergies. Daisy will be your fun shadow girl.

Environment

Daisy is house trained and pee pad trained. She does not need nor use a crate. She is trustworthy and can have free-reign, so long as your goodies are locked up! She LOVES walkies and sniffing around the yard. She is leash trained and barks a bit at people and a bit more at other dogs. She does not need a fenced yard but should remain tethered/leashed while in the yard as she has a high prey drive and is reactionary to people and dogs in her close proximity.

Daisy is ok by herself for a few hours at a time, but wouldn't want a full work day alone so will need people who are home at least some of the day. She uses her big bark ™️ when she sees people/doggos out the window, and to greet new people entering the house. 

Pets & People

Daisy can be a bit selective about her doggy friends and would be best as a solo doggo. Daisy is great with people once she feels comfortable around them. Her main priority is someone who can play and snuggle with her, and give her the attention she deserves. She loves to play with squeaky toys and tennis balls, but also loves to snuggle up against your leg on the couch. She does not like a busy house of strangers coming and going.

Health

Daisy has a grade one heart murmur and is not on medication.

Location

Daisy is available for adoption from Saugus, MA and we are ideally looking to get her adopted within a few of hours drive because she doesn't love the car.
