Riley is a 10month old long hair who was surrendered to us when his puppy energy got to be too much for his previous family to manage. Like any puppy, he loves toys, play time, and long walks. Riley unfortunately has not been properly socialized, so he is skittish and has shown resource guarding with the other dog in his foster home. For this reason we feel it's best to place him in a home where he is the only dog, but will consider adopters with other dogs if they are experienced with the breed and the behavior and can commit to proper introductions and continued training to manage the resource guarding behavior.

Riley is a sweet and gentle boy with his humans, and he also came to us crate and potty trained! Because he is a bit nervous we feel it would be best not to place him in a home with young children, but he would do well with older respectful kids. With the proper training, a little time, and outlets for his energy we know Riley will thrive.
