Overview

Arthur is the perfect little lapdog and cuddle bug. He’s bonded with his sister Lucy, and they will need to be adopted together. Arthur is just 2 years old, and approx. 10lbs of black and tan sweetness! Since he’s on the smaller side he can be easily carried, and he loves to be held. They are looking for a new home together after their previous owner suddenly passed away.

Foster Dairius says:
“My favorite thing about Arthur is that he loves belly rubs & cuddling, especially in bed at night. His lip tends to get stuck on his teeth which makes him look so silly.”

Environment

Arthur is still working on potty training and both pups just need someone who can dedicate time to their routine. He is catching on to using the pee pad and beginning to pee outside. He’s working on his leash walking skills but doesn’t love the harness.

Arthur isn’t as energetic as Lucy, but he follows her lead in most things. They love running around and playing in a fenced yard and are looking for a home where that can continue. Shared walls are not advised for this pair as they bark at noise and to greet visitors. 

Pets & People

Arthur is shy at first but warms up to you quickly. He’s very sweet and deeply bonded with sister Lucy. They like to have human company in addition to each other, so someone who either works from home, can be home most of the time, or is retired (but active!) would be best suited. Arthur is good with other dogs for the most part. He has snipped/growled at his foster’s dachshund, but his foster feels it's because their dog tends to not know his size and comes at little Arthur quicker than he appreciates.

Arthur needs to eat from a slow feeder. He and Lucy both eat fast and from the same bowl and have been fed separately from the other dogs in the home to avoid any conflict.
