Overview

 

Meet Beanie Baby (BB for short), a sweet 5-year-old mixed breed pup looking for her perfect forever home. This black and tan beauty weighs in at 13 pounds and came to Little Paws after being found abandoned on the streets of Baltimore.

 

Environment

 

BB has a gentle, medium energy level that makes her adaptable to different home environments. While she'd love a yard to call her own, it's not a must-have — she's more interested in being wherever you are! She's currently taking it easy while recovering from a leg injury, so we haven't had a chance to assess her leash skills yet. BB is quiet enough to be suitable for apartment living with shared walls, and she's very content being left alone when needed.

 

Pets & People

 

BB is a true people-lover with those she knows well — in fact, her favorite place is right in your lap! While she's good with familiar faces, she can be a bit protective and snippy with strangers at first, so she'll need patient introductions to new people. She gets along well with other dogs and is generally gentle around food and treats, though she can get a little excited when snacks are involved (who doesn't?). She's an easy traveler in the car, making vet visits and adventures a breeze.

 

Health

 

BB is currently on Hills I/D digestive care food, which we recommend continuing. She's also recovering from a leg injury, so her new family should be prepared to work with their vet on her ongoing care needs.
