Overview
Meet Luna, a joyful and loving 3-year-old purebred pup weighing in at 11 pounds. This beautiful black and tan girl came to Little Paws as a street rescue and has blossomed into a sweet, though sometimes stubborn, companion who tries her hardest to trust everyone she meets.
Environment
Luna has high energy and needs daily walks and playtime! While a yard isn't strictly necessary, it would be great for this active girl. She's a bit apprehensive on walks as they're new to her, but she loves the fresh air and breeze - she just needs some patience while she builds confidence. She can live in a home with shared walls, though she may occasionally cry when left alone or at bedtime.
Pets & People
Luna is generally happy and excited around people, though she can be a bit apprehensive at first. She comes from a rough past but works hard to build trust with new friends. She's currently bonded with her foster brother Frankie and they get along wonderfully. She hasn't been tested with other dogs yet.
Luna has some endearing quirks that make her special. When she's anxious or overly excited, she'll self-soothe by carrying a toy in her mouth - it's quite sweet to watch her figure out how to comfort herself. She also enjoys digging! And while she loves her treats with enthusiasm (she can be a bit snatchy!), she's a joyful and affectionate companion.
Training
Luna needs some loving discipline with her potty training. She uses pee pads but has had accidents, particularly on furniture, so she'll need a patient adopter willing to work with her on house training. She doesn't require a crate but does well with some space management (like blocking access to furniture when unsupervised).
While she can be left alone for a little while, she may take some time adjusting to a new routine. In the car, she's initially anxious but calms down well, though we recommend adopters be within a reasonable driving distance.
