Overview
Meet Frankie, the sweetest most gentle little soul! This 8-year-old purebred pup weighing in at 12 pounds came to Little Paws as a street rescue, and he's proved to be such a loving and deserving companion. With his handsome black and tan coat and endearing personality, Frankie is looking for a patient family to call his own.
Environment
Frankie enjoys his moderate energy lifestyle with short walks and playtime. While he'd love a yard to enjoy the fresh air and breeze, he's happy with regular exercise. He's still learning about walks — you can tell he enjoys them, but as they're new to him, he needs reassurance to help build his confidence. He's quiet enough for apartment living, only occasionally barking when he hears other dogs nearby.
Pets & People
Sweet and gentle by nature, Frankie seems to like people in general, though he can be timid at first. He's more likely to be shy than aggressive with strangers, and just needs some time to warm up. He's currently bonded with his foster sister Luna and is generally a chill, easy-going companion. He hasn't been tested with children yet.
Frankie is quite food motivated — he loves his treats so much he can get a bit excited and snatchy when they appear!
Health & Training
Frankie has an upcoming appointment with a cardiologist to better understand his overall health needs. He's still working on his potty training with pee pads and while he has some accidents, he's making progress. He'll need a loving and patient adopter to help him continue his training journey.
He also has some separation anxiety and will need a family who can help him work through this with patience and understanding. He travels well in the car, though we recommend adopters be within a reasonable driving distance.
Location
Frankie is available for adoption from Miami, FL. Please email anaguiar94@gmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Frankie is $250.00.
