Overview

Meet Toby, a sweet and well-behaved 11-month-old Dachshund Mix looking for his forever home. He'll be turning the big ONE on January 1st! This handsome little guy weighs 13 pounds and is an absolute snuggle bug.

Environment

Toby has a wonderful, balanced energy level - he plays alongside the resident dachshunds and naps with them. He would prefer a dog around his own size if there were a playmate in the house. While he's not a big barker, he might whine a bit if he can see you but can't reach you. He loves a good romp outdoors and while a fenced yard is not necessary he would definitely love one.

Pets & People

This sweet boy does well with adults, but prefers foster mom to foster dad. Toby snuggles with the household children as well. He is generally good with other dogs, and plays with the resident dachshunds in his foster home. Toby has the most un-puppy-like attitude about life. He's a calm, old soul in a small package.

Training & Travel

Toby is pee pad trained and also becoming more consistent with going outdoors. Not yet the most confident on a leash when outdoors, but also improving. He's young and is picking up quickly! Toby sleeps in a crate no problem. Toby would be in heaven if he could have a couch snuggle buddy all day! Work from home? Retired? Toby will be your best companion! Toby is a candidate for a reasonable transport.
