Looking for a sweet and well-mannered companion? Meet Gus, a lovable mixed-breed pup who's ready to steal your heart with his gentle nature and playful spirit.

 

Gus is a charming 4-year-old black and tan dog weighing in at a comfortable 8 pounds. He came to Little Paws as a stray but has proven himself to be a total sweetheart who loves nothing more than playing and running in the yard. His gentle spirit and good listening skills make him a joy to have around.

 

Environment

 

Gus needs a home with a fenced yard where he can enjoy his playtime safely. While he's good with his potty habits when let out frequently and will use pee pads as backup, having outdoor space is essential for this active boy. He's quite enough to be suitable for homes with shared walls, making him adaptable to various living situations. Gus enjoys short walks and playtime to keep him happy and engaged. He has an unusual quirk: he likes to chew on paper. He doesn’t swallow it, he just likes the texture, but it will be something to keep an eye on. 

Pets & People

 

Gus is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs - in fact, he prefers to have a canine companion around. He's completely non-aggressive and while initially timid with strangers, he quickly warms up and welcomes attention from everyone he meets. This gentle soul takes treats politely and is even willing to share his food with other dogs, showing his naturally sweet disposition. He's also great in the car, making travel a breeze.

 

Training

 

Gus is doing well with his training journey. He's comfortable in his crate, calmly eating his meals there and waiting patiently to be let out. He needs regular potty breaks but is making good progress with his house training. While he does well alone, he's happiest when he has another dog friend around for company.
