Overview
Looking for a cuddly companion with a playful spirit? Mila the Dachshund/Maltese mix might be your perfect match!
Mila is an adorable 2-month-old puppy with a beautiful black and brown wire-haired coat. At 10 pounds, this sweet little girl was surrendered to Little Paws along with her brother Noah and is now ready to find her forever family.
Environment
As a young puppy, Mila is energetic and loves to play, especially with her brother. Though she's too young for walks at the moment, she'll need plenty of playtime and stimulation to keep her happy. A fenced yard is essential for Mila's safety and to support her ongoing potty training.
Mila is still learning to use her pee pads consistently and will need patient guidance as she continues to develop good potty habits. She's already sleeping through the night, which is impressive for such a young pup!
Mila feels secure in her crate, using it as a happy space. She’s a quiet enough pup that a home with shared walls would be ok.
Pets & People
Mila is a loving pup who adores everyone, including children. She's very affectionate and sometimes gets so excited when being picked up that she might have a little accident—just something to be aware of as she continues her training.
She's excellent with other dogs and loves both playing and snuggling with them. She currently enjoys playtime with her brother Noah and has also bonded with her foster family's dog, Izzy. Mila should acclimate well to any dog as long as they understand each other.
Like many puppies, Mila eats quickly and may benefit from a slow feeder as she grows. She's still developing her manners and occasionally steps in her own messes—all part of puppyhood that will improve with training.
Location
Mila is available for adoption from Miami, Florida and to applicants living in Southern Florida. She hasn't had much car experience yet (and had an accident in her crate on the way to the vet), but she's small and portable. Please email juliejohmson@littlepawsdr.org with any
questions or complete an adoption application at the button above. The adoption fee for Mila is $450.
