Meet Grayson, a stunning 10-year-old black and silver dapple dachshund who’s ready to be someone’s devoted companion for his golden years.

 

Grayson is a 10-pound bundle of love who came to Little Paws after his owner passed away. This sweet senior boy is the definition of a lap dog—he’s chill, affectionate, and wants nothing more than to be close to his favorite person. If you’re looking for a constant companion who will follow you around the house and provide endless cuddles, Grayson is your guy.

 

Environment

 

Grayson is wonderfully house-trained and also uses pee pads as backup, making him very easy to live with. He enjoys moderate walks and playtime but is equally happy being a couch potato with you. Since he doesn’t require a crate and is comfortable being left alone for reasonable periods, he’s quite adaptable to different living situations. He’s quiet and well-behaved, making him perfect for apartments or homes with shared walls.

 

Pets & People

 

Grayson may be a little cautious when first meeting new people, but he quickly warms up and allows petting and prefers to be handled and picked up gently. He’s friendly and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to a multi-pet household or perfectly content as an only dog.

 

Personality Quirks

 

Grayson has one adorable quirk—he absolutely loves being petted and will whine softly to let you know when he wants attention. He’s looking for someone who truly wants a lap dog and doesn’t mind having a devoted shadow who craves affection. If you work from home or are looking for a constant companion, Grayson would be in heaven!
