Bailey is a beautiful 5 year old black and white dapple piebald female dachshund and came to us as a puppy mill rescue where she was severely overbred. She was a crate chewer because of all the long, lonely days locked away, and damaged her front teeth as a result. She had to have 5 teeth removed, 3 on top, 2 on the bottom. But the vet says she is very healthy considering all she has suffered. Incredibly, she is heartworm negative! Bailey’s ideal home would be somewhere without steps or not a lot of them. She is very patient and loving with children, does not mind cats, and gets along well with other dogs. She is more laid back and is considered more low energy, so a senior or older adult would also be ideal for Bailey. She is potty trained and will scratch and/or bark at the door to go potty, but needs to go out several times a day. She is crate trained and will sleep in a crate, but prefers the “human” bed. She tends to be a pillow hog and snores, too. She has come a long way since coming into rescue, and can now run and enjoys basking in the sunshine. Bailey is a jovial dog and has a jolly walk. She now prances around and is a very sweet natured girl. Could Bailey be the one for you?
