Frank is a very sweet little boy who will make someone a great best friend.  He gets along great with children, other dogs, and is only mildly curious about the cat in the house. He is housebroken for the most part but would need to continue to work on it. He has adjusted really quickly to the foster environment and he quickly eliminated the not so desirable behaviors he had when he first arrived, such as barking when left alone (he has a loud bark). Frank should acclimate quickly to his new home. He has bursts of energy where he will run around and play with the other dachshund in the foster home, but he would also do well as an only dog as he is mostly interested in being with his person. He is active enough to be a good playmate, but not so high energy that it would be a problem.  Frank would do really well in a family situation or with someone who could give him lots of attention. He does show sign of dominance such as marking and humping the other dachshund in the home, but he is not aggressive at all. He eats without problem with other dogs around. He is left uncrated at night and when the foster family isn’t home and he does not do any damage. Frank is a super sweet, affectionate boy who would love to curl up in your lap.
