Gideon has a heart of gold. When Gideon came to us, he was very underweight and scared.  The tips of his ears had been torn. Gideon is now at a good weight and ears are healed but have scars. Through all of this he is the sweetest and most loving dog.  He loves to lie in your lap and put his head on your shoulder.  He loves a dog bed and playing with toys.  He will sit up on his hind legs if he wants to be picked up. He sleeps in his crate at night. House trained if on a schedule.  He barks very little for a dachshund. He gets along very well with our dachshunds, and interacts well with other dogs he meets. He hasn't had experience around children or cats in our care. He would love a fenced yard to explore and sunbath in.
