Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
Bandit is a calm, cool and collected sweet 10 year old brown dachshund. He was rescued from a high kill shelter in South Carolina after a 4 year old child of his family developed a dog allergy. Bandit is a wonderful companion. While he’s not super-playful, he’ll love being around you, and hoarding toys in his crate. He loves snuggling on the sofa and burrowing under blankets. He is fully housebroken and knows how to use a dog door as well. He’s fine with sleeping in his crate at night as long as he has a cozy blanket to snuggle in. He loves rawhide bones! He’s fine around other dogs, but doesn’t really want to be pestered too much by them. Bandit walks very well on a leash and is happy to hang out in the back seat of your car on trips. He doesn’t bark much. He’s just a laid-back sweet little cuddle bug. Are you the forever parent this sweet boy is looking for?
RI RESIDENTS – At this time we are
not
registered with this state and are unable to adopt to residents. The process to register is lengthy and will take some time. We are currently working on this process.
TRANSPORTATION HELP!
If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
