Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Hi! Thanks for reading our profile! My name is Pierre (but I go by Pete) and this is my wife Daisy. She’s a lovely girl. We’ve been together almost our whole lives. We are both 8 years old, but we act a lot younger! We depend on one another to handle new and uncertain situations. We rely on each other for comfort and companionship. You’re probably thinking…TWO?! That’s twice as much work. Well, I’m here to tell you – that is not true. We walk together, sleep together, eat together, and nap together. We need one cage, one bed, one bowl. When we have two of something, we only use one anyway. We love kids, other dogs and even cats! We are both non-aggressive. I’m the barker of pair, but I’m just protecting my wife and home from whoever is knocking on the door. We are not destructive at all. We love going outside…my wife more than I, but we love riding in the car and taking long walks. I love toys…Daisy, not as much. We don’t really play, but we’re full of energy and ready to walk anytime! My wife likes to kiss you in the morning when she realizes you’re awake. I take a little longer waking up, but am happy and ready to go whenever you are! In case you were wondering, adopting a bonded pair has lots of benefits. Since we’re together, we never get bored, so we don’t do things that will get us in trouble. We are happy to go in our cage while you’re at work. We love to lay in our cage (even when we don’t have to)….just because it’s ours. Being together isn’t just a benefit for us, it’s a benefit for YOU! Did you know that studies show that animals bonded to one another live longer and healthier lives?! We are so excited to start this new leg of our journey, still together, but with you. Won’t you consider adopting us?

TRANSPORTATION HELP!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
