Miss Olive came to LPDR as an owner surrender.  She is a two year old girl that has not had a good start to her short life but is making up for lost time.  She is a real sweetie that loves her people.  She adores any and all people. Olive is a kisser and a snuggler.  She just wants to be close to you and love you as much as possible. She will sleep in a dog bed on the floor but much prefers the big bed.  She is housetrained as long as she is kept on a schedule.  Like many small dogs she can be a nervous piddler, but only when she is picked up or when she is very excited.  She has become tolerant of other dogs as long as they don’t get too far into her space, but would probably prefer to belong to a one dog owner.  At the time of her surrender we were told that she did not do well with cats but I have not seen any major issues.  As long as the cats respect her space she will return the favor. She seems mostly comfortable with her people rather than other dogs or cats. This beautiful little girl is looking for a patient, kind, loving furever home.  If you could provide her these things please fill out an adoption application.

CT, RI & NH RESIDENTS – At this time we are not registered with these states and are unable to adopt to residents.  The process to register is lengthy and will take some time.  We are currently working on this process.

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
