Introducing TATER! Tater is an adorable 8 month old pure bred Dachshund who just came into our rescue last week. We rescued Tater from a man off of Craigslist and are so happy that we saved him before he ended up with a back yard breeder. The family claimed they just didn’t have time for him so they kept him locked in a crate all day and then outside all night.
He is doing great in his foster home. Gets along great with the other small dogs and likes the cats although he can get overly excited and chase them sometimes. He is very smart - he is crate trained and is learning house training and leash training quickly. But, he is a puppy and will need frequent potty breaks.
Tater is such a sweet, silly Doxie who just wants to please you and give you sloppy wet puppy kisses. He has a personality as big as his huge ears and feet! He loves playing with his toys and to chase his foster brother & sisters and loves to cuddle with you on the couch.
He will need patience through his training period but he will be well worth it in the end. He is such a wonderful little boy with a lot of love to give.
