Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).   Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

We have only just acquired Abby who is 1 ½ year old black and tan wire-haired dachshund.  She is so sweet and loves to be in your lap. Abby does get a little possessive of your lap but calms down when you tell her to "leave it".  We are working on her house training, she tends to have some accidents especially if she gets excited.  (But hoping that once she feels safe again, things will get better. She has been through a lot of changes lately) She is good with children.  We will update her profile as we get to know more about her and her personality!!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
