How to contact my foster home:   Debby Jernigan ~~~ jernigan280@gmail.com

Lottie is a very precious 6 year old chocolate and tan girl. She is a registered mini but beyond that, she has the "papers" to our hearts!

We suspect she was a Mama's girl before her owner surrendered her as she follows me everywhere and initially was very timid around my husband. He made it a special project to win her over and now she gets along with both men and women just fine. We have learned that this owner had several dogs and Lottie gets along very well with our crew, but when you are sitting, she wants the "lap" position.

Outside she has a keen eye for squirrels and bunnies - luckily she is always on a lead!! We do not have a fenced yard and walk all of the dogs on a leash and Lottie seems used to this. We use a harness because if she tugs at the leash she starts that goose honk from an elongated soft palette, but even that has lessened considerably. We suspect it has been a big help that she has been on a diet since we got her - she was a bit on the chubby side but is slimming down now!

RI RESIDENTS  At this time we are not registered with this state and are unable to adopt to residents.  The process to register is lengthy and will take some time.  We are currently working on this process.

TRANSPORTATION HELP!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
