How to contact my foster home: Sandi ~~ sandiphilli@comcast.net
Adoption Fee: $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
This handsome, gentle, tan and white colored, two year old with glorious yellow eyes is lovebug Dexter. At his first meeting with his foster mom and two small foster siblings, there was an immediate bonding and no hesitation of joining the family. While shy when meeting new humans and dogs, he warms quickly. He prefers women to men but with assuarance, he becomes comfortable and trusting. Dexter moves well on a leash either alone or with other dogs, listens, and walks without pulling. He picks up quickly on basic commands like come, sit, stay, and off. He is independent yet loves being a couch potato with anyone that will accommodate and if allowed, will slide into bed for the night snuggling as close to you as possible. Dexter is housetrained but is a leg lifter. With continued corection/suggestions he has almost eliminated that habit. He does not play with toys but, like a puppy, loves to romp, run, leap and jump with the sibling dogs. He is up to date on all immunizations, neutered, microchipped, negative for heartworms, and most recently received a dental cleaning. This dog will adjust easily to all households and thrives on attention and love. Dexter is guaranteed to walk away with your heart after one meeting and, if chosen to become a member of your family, will be a true blessing!

TRANSPORTATION HELP!
If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
