BIO:
Pepe is just a darling little man! He is about 8 years old and weighs 14 lbs. He is a wirehaired neutered male dachshund.
Pepe is one of the calmest foster dogs I’ve known. He loves to be with his people. Either at your feet or on your lap and will quietly wait for you to finish a task before you can reach down to pet his head and tell him what a sweetie he is.
He likes to chew bones and will carry a stuffed animal around, but no crazy antics here. He is calm and gentle and generally quiet. A knock at the door may make him bark but not much agitates this little boy.
When sitting with you he is so happy to be petted and will roll over and enjoy a belly rub. This will definitely bring a smile to your face—he is so lovable!!
Even though Pepe is about 8 years old, he doesn’t act like a senior dog. He is quiet by nature and still loves walks and is very curious about my other dogs, cats and what is happening in my yard.
We are working on housetraining him. He was just neutered recently and is used to being able to mark his territory (he was pulled from a high-kill shelter and was probably an outdoor dog). He is learning very fast and decidedly wants to please his people so this shouldn’t be an issue.
If you are looking for a calm, lovable baby, Pepe is PERFECT!
