Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Rex is a 3 year old black and tan male dachshund mix. He looks most like a dachshund, but not 100%. He is healthy, sweet, and loving. Rex ADORES children, respectful ones, please! Wags his tail non stop and wants to give them kisses. He can be playful, but is not hyper. Gentle by nature and calm in meeting people, and warms up quickly. Walks great on a leash and does well with his potty skills! Rex loves to go outside to bask in the sun and sniff around. This well rounded little guy would be perfect for just about any living situation..He likes to sit on your lap or next to you and cuddle. Sleeps in the big bed. Rex has one flaw, if its a real flaw- he HATES cats!!! So definitely not for a cat loving home!! Rex is up to date on all shots, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is waiting for his new family! If you want an all around great dog, this is the one for you!!!! Rex is fostered in SC by Mallory.

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
