Adoption Fee:  $250.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses

Ana is a sweet 6 year old girl. She is skittish and shy until she gets to know you. She would be best in a quiet home with less activity. No children, please. Ana will need lots of love and patience to overcome her insecurities and fear of new situations. She was not socialized in her former home and she has social issues as a result. Would be ideal as a loving, devoted companion for a single person, or couple. Best in a home where she can be the only dog, or an older, mellow dog would be ok. Never been tested with cats..

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
