Poppy is 7 lbs of adorable, loving, puppy fun. She is a 4-5 months old chiweenie mix.

This baby is the most lovable little girl. She wraps her short little arms around your neck when you hold her and gives tons of kisses. She loves to either cuddle or follow me around. She is definitely happiest with her people near her.

I have several other dogs and Poppy gets along well with all sizes and personalities. I have a 14yr old chi mix and Poppy leaves him alone completely—as he likes it-- and I have a one year old small dog and they love to roll and play and tug. I also have 2 cats and Poppy learned very quickly that they want nothing to do with her and she wisely keeps her distance from them.

She is a hearty eater and I feed her 2 times a day. She was a bit underweight when I got her but she has pulled her weight up to a perfect amount. I feed her food that is wheat, corn and soy free.

I don’t have young children but Poppy gets along with everyone. She is happy and eager to meet new people and would love to be out and about walking the neighborhood or at the park watching kids play.

She is nearly housetrained. I have a dog door and fenced yard and she can come and go as she pleases. But I have to keep her on a schedule to got out often and give her lots of praise when she uses the bathroom outside. She is so close to understanding the whole idea but she is young and can get distracted. With regular trips to a grassy area she will continue to progress on her housetraining.

This baby is just a tiny little bundle of love. She is the best little girl and so much fun.

RI RESIDENTS  At this time we are not registered with these states and are unable to adopt to residents.  The process to register is lengthy and will take some time.  We are currently working on this process.

TRANSPORTATION HELP!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
