Adoption Fee:   $350.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.  Dogs that are HW positive cannot be adopted in Massachusetts.

Rocky is a 7 month old dachshund mix puppy. 

The ideal home for Rocky would be a home with no young children.  Older VERY respectful children (12+) may be OK with the understanding that Rocky will take a day or two to adjust to any new situation.

Rocky would thrive in a situation where he could get a lot of exercise.  Currently he is being fostered at a board and train facility where he goes on the treadmill for 20 minutes, twice a day.  A new owner that would continue with a vigorous exercise plan would be the best choice for him.  This is a dog that would love to go for a jog, work out on a doggy treadmill, or very long walks! 

Rocky loves doggie day care and enjoys the interactions he has there.  An adopter that would commit to getting him the socializion that day care provides would be ideal for him.

Once Rocky feels comfortable with you he is a loving, sweet dog that will fill your heart every single day.
