Gunnar & Cooper are a wonderful pair of one year old wirehaired dachshunds available for adoption in New England. These dachshunds were surrendered by their original owner because they were getting too big for them to handle, as they were told by the breeder they were minis, and this senior couple wanted to be fair to them as they aged and could no longer carry them up and down the stairs.
PLEASE NOTE: Gunnar & Cooper are puppies and are still not fully housebroken. Anyone who adopts him needs to take the time to commit to housebreaking these beautiful boys. There are a lot of resources available to help in this process and we strongly encourage engaging a trainer in this process as well.
Gunnar & Cooper are medium-sized tweenies, weighing about 16 pounds each. They are a spirited little duo and are very bonded to each other. These sweet boys will make a wonderful addition to any home.
Adoption Fee: $550.00 + $35.00 (each) for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
