Do you love Lucy? Lucy is a beautiful standard sized Dachshund; short smooth red hair and just as sweet as can be! Lucy has had a hard life as a puppy, but now she knows only love and kindness! Lucy gives great doggie kisses, a little cuddle-bug, will stay by your side and loves to lie in her human’s lap in the recliner. Lucy will sleep on the big bed curled up by her human and sleeps well through the night and is totally housebroken. Lucy even goes potty outside during the rain! Lucy does need some leash training. Lucy gets along great with her sister Ethel and her two fur-brothers (although she can be a little bossy of smaller dogs at times) playing, sleeping, and going for a walk with them. She amuses herself with small tennis balls, bones, and squeaky stuffed animals, eats well but is not much on treats. Lucy definitely will make someone a great companion, would be great in an apartment or with a senior citizen and Lucy is very easy to fall in love with! Lucy is still a puppy at 1 years old, 20 pounds of love, spayed and microchipped. Lucy is healthy, heartworm negative, UTD on all of her shots.

When Lucy first came to my house she chased my cats.  After just a couple of weeks she has learned that kitties are friends.

Lucy came to us with her sister Ethel, and they have both had adjustment issues seeing as they came from a background where they did not have much of anything and have thus had some issues with possessiveness of “their” toys, bones, etc . They are getting better about this.
