Rooney is a 3 year old male isabella & tan short haired dachshund.  He is a good dog but extremely vocal - barking at anything that piques his interest!  He would not be a good fit for an apartment or living situation where barking may disturb someone.  He also needs a home where he will not be alone for extremely long periods of time as he does have some separation anxiety. A regular routine will be good for Rooney and help alleviate some of his anxiety.  We are recommending only older children (12+) for Rooney, and a dachshund-savvy owner would be ideal for this little guy.  We believe he would benefit from further postive rewards-based training and is really blossoming into a great dog!   He is looking for his forever home in New England - could that be yours?

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
