My name is Dove and I’m looking for a very special forever family. I was found dragging myself down a road in Georgia. I had a large inguinal hernia and was unable to use my back legs. My foster mom thinks that I was used as a breeder dog because inguinal hernias are not uncommon when you have lots of puppies. Since I was rescued the hernia was repaired, I was spayed and I started physical therapy to help strengthen my hind legs. You should see me now! I can walk and I am starting to run. I have a beautiful chocolate brown coat and soulful brown eyes. My vet says I’m between 3 and 4 years old. I am a very active dog for a little dog and I absolutely love being outside exploring the world, sniffing and looking around for things; therefore, I am looking for a forever home with a fenced back yard. My foster mom learned that I do not do well around birds, small critters or cats. So, it would best if I am an only dog and in a home with no small children. I am crate trained and leash trained and love to go on walks now that my back legs are better. I do not have full control of my urine because of my back injury, but my foster mom says that who ever adopts me will fall in love with me over look that minor inconvenience. I love to have my head and belly scratched. If you are looking for a little (I weigh less then 8 lbs) girl with soulful brown eyes please contact my foster mom Anita at agchomemaker@yahoo.com.
Note: Because I am a special needs doxie I am looking for a forever family within 75 miles of the Metropolitan Baltimore/ DC area. ___________________________________________________
