Are you looking to have your heart stolen? Well, look no further as Sandy will definitely steal your heart. Sandy is a beautiful miniature Dachshund; short smooth red/brown hair and just as sweet as can be! Sandy was rescued from a shelter and was neglected, but now she knows only love and kindness! Sandy gives great doggie kisses, is a little cuddle-bug, will stay by your side and loves to lie in her human’s lap in the recliner. Sandy will sleep on the big bed curled up by her human and sleeps well through the night and is housebroken but will use puppy pads in the event it is raining outside. Sandy walks well leash and will not pull, she gets along great with her three fur-brothers while playing, sleeping, and going for a walk with them. She amuses herself with small tennis balls, bones, and stuffed animals, eats well and will take some treats. Sandy definitely will make someone a great companion, would be great in an apartment or with a senior citizen and is very easy to fall in love with! Sandy is a young girl, 10 pounds of love, spayed and microchipped. Sandy is healthy, has recently undergone heartworm treatment and is UTD on all of her shots.

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. This $125 fee is non- refundable if the dog is returned to the rescue.

TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
