My name is Gabby and I am a 3 yr old red smooth doxie.  I am in search of a forever family who will open their home to both me and my sister Ginger. We are super close and cannot be separated.  I am the shyer one of the two of us and tend to be a bit more cautious when meeting new people.  My foster mom says that I am incredibly sweet. My favorite thing is to cuddle and get my tummy rubbed. 

I am house trained, but it is important that you keep me on a schedule in order to avoid accidents.  My foster mom takes us for long walks twice a day when the weather permits.  We are still trying to figure out the point of this exercise although we do enjoy being outside and exploring.

Note:  Gabby has recovered from a back incident and therefore needs a forever family who will always protect her back (no stairs, no jumping and always walked with a harness).

Adoption Fee:  $450 (for both Gabby and Ginger) + $45.00 (for each dog) for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee (for each dog) to help cover a portion of these expenses.

If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
