Leo here. I am a 4 yr old male Dachshund Chihuahua mix.  When I was about 2 years old my owner discovered that I had heartworms and left me at a vet to be put to sleep.  Well guess what…. that did not happen because the nice people at the vet took care of me.  They made sure that I was treated and taken care of.  My foster mom was determined to make my life better and according to her I have bloomed into a butterfly.  

I am up-do-date with all my vetting, I have been neutered and I have been micro chipped.  I currently weigh about 10 lbs.  I am housetrained and crate trained and I love to run and play in the yard. I know the basic commands thankfully from my foster mom, but would be fun to learn new tricks for you. I enjoy being with people so much and I love playing with my toys and tug of war with my boxer friend.

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate (for each dog) if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $135 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.  

Transportation Help:  If you see a furbaby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
