Hi! My name is Toby, and I am the sweetest, snuggliest boy ever. I came to my current mommy from a breeder who didn’t want to use me for breeding anymore. The breeder said I was 2 years old, but my new vet thinks I’m probably more like 6 years old. Because I was a breeding dog, I have lived my whole life with other dogs around. I love my fur-brother in my current home, and so far, I get along really well with every other dog I’ve ever met with my new mom. I’ve never met a cat before, so I’m not sure what I’ll think about them, but they’ll probably be okay with me because I’m pretty laid back. Well, let me say, I’m VERY laid back when I’m with my mommy. Unfortunately, I get extremely scared when men come around, even when they’re young boys, but especially when they’re big, grown-up men. I can’t stop barking, and sometimes I have to go run and hide or pace somewhere out of sight. I am looking for a new home where I can live in peace and security with a new mommy (or mommies) but no daddies. If you think I’m the snuggle buddy you’re looking for, I would LOVE to get one million belly rubs from you all day long. I’ll never leave your lap, if you’re willing to rub me! I can’t wait to meet you.

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $150 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses. 

TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
