Hello! My name is Roscoe and I am a 3-year-old doxie mix that absolutely loves his person. I live with my foster brother and sister in North Carolina, but I am SO ready to find my own FUR-ever home. My foster dad is working with me to try and overcome some resource guarding issues. I just love my person so much, that I sometimes don’t want anybody (or anything) else to have their attention. I don’t have any problems with my foster brother whatsoever, but my foster sister is used to being queen of the house and got in a fight with me a couple of times, so now I really don’t want her to have my dad’s attention. I don’t like overnight guests in the house, but I warm up to them if they stay multiple nights. In fact, my dad’s last house guest didn’t like me very much the first night, but she let me sleep with her on the couch every night after that. But, enough about my issues.

I absolutely crave attention. I like to beat my dad to the couch and the bed just so he can hold me and give me 100% of his attention – hugs, pets, kisses and especially belly rubs. Because of this, I would probably do best in a single-person home with someone that is home for a good portion of the day. I love to run around in the fenced in backyard, but I get super excited when my dad takes out my harness as well and takes me for a walk outside. I am a very high energy dog. I need to run around, so apartment life would probably not be good for me. I am not overly interested in toys, but my previous owners gave me Beggin’ Strips all of the time, so I am addicted to those and will do absolutely anything for a treat. My foster sister also takes her pills with peanut butter, so I have grown quite fond of that delicious stuff as well and wait in line when it’s pill time so I can have my share. In my down time, I like to crawl under a good blanket and go to sleep. My foster dad says that I snore a little, but he gets used to it.
