Hi! My name is King! I am an exceptionally handsome 10 year old dachshund/beagle mix who came to Little Paws as an owner surrender. I have done really well in my foster home living with 3 other dogs! I love to sit in my foster dad's lap and snuggle. Sometimes he looks all over for me and finds me burrowed under the blankets in the bed sleeping the day away!  If you like to walk, I'm your guy---I love my walks and do very well on a leash. I am house trained and crate trained, and I don't bark too much. I get along with adults and other dogs, but I am a cautious guy and need a slow introduction. I don't really play with the other dogs in the house and tend to keep more to myself. My favorite toys are my stuffed animals, and I can be a little protective of them if my foster dad tries to take one away. I might give a little growl, but then my foster dad says "no" and I let him take it (sigh!!). I can also be a little possessive of my foster dad---I like all the attention for myself! My foster dad is working with me to not be so jealous! I do have some special needs which will need ongoing attention. I have skin allergies and need to be bathed every two weeks with a prescription shampoo. I also just had surgery for bladder stones which was very successful! I need to be on a prescription diet for both conditions. I am located in New Jersey.

The adoption fee for King is $275.00. If he is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).

Transportation help: if you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don't let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation.
