Things to know about Pepper. He is a handsome, 15-pound guy, and is an absolute treasure to have around. Pepper has a history of occasional seizures. He has been taking Keppra (an inexpensive medication) three times a day and Phenobarbital to control his seizures.

Pepper loves mornings and always awakens happy and ready to start his day. He loves exploring and playing outside and going for walks on his leash. He is reactive to other dogs while walking on his leash. Pepper is always ready for a car ride. He loves to travel.

Pepper is house trained so long as he is let out regularly. Crates are not his favorite places to spend time and he is happier being gated into a room if he must be confined. Pepper is well-mannered and his foster mom feels comfortable enough to allow him the run of the house when she goes out. When she returns, he is so excited to see her that he runs laps around her house. Pepper would love a home in which at least one person is home most of the time.

Pepper does not play well with other dogs and is very protective of his special person.  He would do best as the only dog in the home.  Training would be helpful to encourage him to become a bit more sociable. He generally ignores cats. Once in a while he gets it into his head to chase them.

Pepper is very food motivated and loves his treats. His foster mom feeds him his food in a puzzle bowl to make his meals last longer and for him to feel better satisfied.

When we asked his foster mom what she likes most about Pepper, she said that he makes her laugh and smile with regularity. He’s such a good boy and you can’t help but fall in love with him.

Pepper is currently living in Little River, SC with his foster mom Debbie. For additional information, contact her at dkhtucker84@hotmail.com
