Cocoa is a sweet 7-month-old pup who was surrendered with her brother Cola. She’s very loving once you gain her trust and is looking for an active new home where she can give cuddles and kisses between playtimes. 

Personality

Cocoa is gorgeous, young, and ready to learn. She will do best in a home where she can get lots of playtime and attention. She can be anxious and takes time to warm up to new people, but it’s worth it. 

Environment

Cocoa is just a puppy, so she isn’t at 100% with house training but she almost has it in the bag. She’s a clever girl who needs some basic obedience training and will learn quickly. A little patience and some consistency is key. She is crate trained and does very well in a crate or pen. Cocoa is quite vocal so a home with shared walls is not advised.

Pets & People

Cocoa is quite anxious and reactive with new people. She needs to be introduced slowly and patiently and build up her confidence. We are currently working on her reaction when people enter the house as she barks and charges at them. Cocoa loves other dogs. She’s had experience with dogs up to 30lbs, is fed with her brother with no issues, and takes treats alongside her foster’s dogs. Very occasionally she doesn’t want to share a toy.

Cocoa is available for adoption from Glen Head, NY. Cocoa is ok with travel, crated or not.
