Skyler

Skyler and Maddie are a bonded pair who are looking for a home together. Skyler is a long hair red who is 9lbs and 1.5 years old. Maddie is a long haired cream, who is 2.5 years old. Skyler is very dependent on Maddie. Maddie is more independent, but certainly bonded. Skyler is a reserved but sassy girl who loves to romp in the backyard and get the zoomies. 

Environment

Skyler and Maddie are crate trained and crated together. Their previous owner wasn’t in the best health and they weren’t on a consistent potty schedule, but so far in foster care they have done wonderfully with potty training! The girls are quite vocal so a home without shared walls would be best. This pair of zoomers would benefit from someone with a fenced yard for them to run. Both of them love to play fetch, and carry around their plushy toys. 

Pets & People

Both are great with kids and other dogs (their foster has a dachshund and pit bull that they have done great with). Kids should be more cautious approaching Skyler as she is more apprehensive of abrupt movements, but not aggressive. They would be fine in a home with respectful children. Skyler eats slowly and grazes, so an eye would need to be kept on other dogs not to steal her food.

Skyler and Maddie are available for adoption from Mooresville, NC and love to ride in the car. They are looking forward to riding to their new home!
