Hi! I’m FLYNN and I’m 5!  This is an UPDATE on me ‘cuz I have been available for adoption for a while now. It’s not that no one wants me.  I just have a special need.  Nothing big or bad, HONEST!  I am not sick or nuthin, but I have to be frank (that’s a little dachshund humor for you, like it  - I'm full of fun) – I have a little criminal record.  If they had doggie lawyers, it would be ‘sponged, but…  Here is the truth:  I loved my mom.  She had a bad boyfriend who drank smelly stuff and beat her up, and me, too.  One time he was really hurting us and he broke both of my feet so I bit him.  I HAD to try to keep him from hurting us!  That is my job. Dachshunds Protect Their People!
Well, the judge did say it was justified, but I didn’t have a home anymore. LITTLE PAWS DACHSHUND RESCUE came and paid my bail and I got a wonderful foster family who helped me so much.  I was so scared and hurting. They took such great care of me. I love them very much. As I got better, I got to go to another foster home that sort of specializes in dogs that need special help. Sort of a graduation for me and I am doing great. Well, that is the past and I am READY for the future
I have a lot of fun with my foster brother, “Bubba” is a 15-year-old dachshund, and he is teaching me A LOT! I have a foster sister, “Bo”, she is a 2 year old lab and boy do we get into everything, but it’s all cool!  We chase tennis balls together.  I can run faster than a lab!!  Really – we have it on video!
Are you wondering what my SPECIAL NEED IS?  Me, too!  I am not sure, I get along with everyone, I am a good watchdog.  Foster Mom keeps telling Bo to learn that from me .  From what I hear with these big dachshund ears is the perfect home for me would be a house that doesn’t have little kids – although I think I like them from meeting the neighbor kids, I have never been around any.  I would really like to have at least one puppy brother or sister that likes to play and toys, toys, toys!  I like this backyard thing – it’s fun!  MY ABSOLUTE SANTA CLAUSE WISH IS MY VERY OWN K9-KANNON – like Bo has …  it shoots tennis balls all the way across the yard and I run, run, run to get it and bring it back to you!
I will be your kid!  I love to cuddle and give kisses and above all else – I will protect you.

TRANSPORTATION HELP!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
