Adoption Fee:   $150.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in MA, NH, and ME are subject to a mandatory quarantine period as per state laws. This will be an extra fee ($125.00) in addition to the regular adoption fee.  

Tessa is a wonderful and fairly active 10 year old girl. Enjoys a good Dachsie Run and playing outside. She is a sweet girl that is ever so happy to be in the warm house and sleep in the big bed, BUT don't let her age fool you. Tessa loves being outside in the warm sun, exploring and barking at squirrels. To the best of our knowledge she lived her entire life outside, tied to a tree, with a broken dog house and a single blanket. She was rescued by a neighbor during a deep freeze.  She enjoys walks on the leash and plays a little with toys. She does well in the crate if have to leave her in one when you go out. She is an enjoyable pup to have and gets along well with our other 4 dogs. She loves her heating pad bed during the cold winter months, curling up in her blanket till you can't see her. She is a great love bug. She gives tiny little kisses and lots of hugs.

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
