Rolo is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. He is approx 21 months old, tri-colored long haired dachshund and is 13.5 pounds. Rolo is at his happiest when he is sitting with you on the couch or just hanging out wherever you are. No lap will go unfilled with Rolo in your home. He is great in the car and gets along wonderfully with the other dachshunds in his foster home. Rolo would do best in a house where his people are not gone for long hours. He really is such a cutie and has the cheerful personality to compliment his handsome looks. Rolo weighs 14 pounds putting him in the Tweenie category. He is a long hair and is primarly red but also has a lot of black and white too. He is neutered, up to date on all his shots and is microchipped. He is eager to meet his new person/people and settle in to his forever home. Rolo is currently being fostered in western MA with 2 dachshunds, 7 yo girl, 9 yo boy, and 2 adults. He adjusted quickly to the workings of thefoster home. Rolo is super eager to please and a very quick learner. He has established house manners and is house trained but you will need to watch him in the beginning until a routine is developed. Rolo does not enjoy cages, crates etc. It is a prison in his eyes and really won’t do well in a home where crates are used. He walks well on a lead once walking at a good pace. He knows sit and comes when called. He does bark when his foster mom or dad come home or the doorbell rings or guests come over but he quickly quiets. Rolo is far too precious to sleep in a dog bed. He expects to sleep with you in the big bed, this is non-negotiable. He does snore though but not loudly. The ideal home for Rolo would have caring and openly affectionate adults. Respectful children and other dogs would be great. Since he is well mannered and so eager to please, I know he will be a shining star at his forever home.
