Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law). Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

Goldie is the sweetest dachshund that you will ever meet. She is very shy but warms up to you and does this adorable dance to get you to pick her up. Goldie loves to be held.  She is a red dilute with the cutest “braided tail”, brown nose and beautiful amber eyes.  She plays well with her foster brothers but is scared of large dogs. She has been a very good girl about going to the bathroom outside in the fenced yard at her foster family home.

Goldie is quiet and shy, not a big barker. She will sleep on the doggie bed on the floor but really enjoys sleeping in the big bed. Unlike most dachshunds she likes to sleep on the blankets not under them. She sleeps through the night without accidents. She likes to take car rides but isn’t too fond of a leash yet. She was a breeder dog, along with 8 others were taken to the shelter in the back of a pickup truck to be dumped. She is crate trained but prefers to be with her humans and fursiblings. She plays with stuffies and hoards them in her crate. She does not climb steps or onto furniture but loves to snuggle with you on the couch.

Goldie’s cute feet have given her the nickname “Princess Goldie Floppy Feet” she has this cute way she walks with her big paws.
