Petey is a high energy dog. He would thrive best in a home with children or active adults. Petey gets so excited to play with his ball outdoors that he sometimes forgets to go potty.  Petey gets walked on his leash before allowed to play in order to get him to potty.  He is extremely lovable to everyone he has met including children.  I find it best that Petey gets at least 20 minutes each morning to actively play in order to tire him out & active play at the end of the day as well.  Petey sleeps great in his crate & does not fuss to go in. He walks great on leash & walks calm & confident. Petey loves taking a tubby & will sometimes try to jump into the shower with his people. Petey does not know any commands but we have been working on “come”,”leave it” & “off” (to avoid jumping). Petey is a wonderful dog who loves to cuddle with his humans.  He is very relaxed after being exercised. And is just a love!

If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption.  LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.
