Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

IVAN the ADORABLE

Ivan is the most adorable little man. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and 12 lbs. He is a mix of dachshund and beagle: deagle or maybe beagshund? The mix of the two breeds has created the most handsome little guy around.

Ivan is definitely a ‘people loving’ dog. I have other dogs and he will play with them some but people are THE most important thing to him. When he walks next to me he will sometimes grab my pants as if to say, “Slow down, my legs are too short to keep up!” This baby loves to sit with us, give us kisses, follow us around and cuddle up next to us to nap. He follows me around the house and is rarely more than 3 feet from me.

He does OK with other dogs, but would most likely be happiest being an only dog, or with one other companion. 

Ivan was seriously neglected by his previous owner and came to me with a few issues. After several weeks at my house being smothered in love and attention this baby has become a wonderful dog. He started at our house being scared of men but now he runs to my husband and knows that is the guy to get his biscuits from. He had never had a toy in his life and started out being very defensive of his stuffed animals but now he knows toys can be fun to tug with his furry siblings. Every step forward he takes has been so rewarding to see.

Ivan is very lively and playful but a home without too much noise and activity would probably be best for him. Only older respectful children would work for him.
