Adoption Fee:  $250.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.

This is what Sherman's foster mom said about him:  When you look into his eyes you see an “old soul”, a faithful and a loyal companion, a forever friend.  Meet Sherman, a 5 year old Chihuahua mix. Sherman has all the qualities of a forever companion. He is sweet and lovable. Sherman will greet you at the door wagging his tale, so happy to see you! At night, he will snuggle up next to you as you relax watching tv or lay in bed with a good book. He just wants to be loved and near you! He is potty trained and will go to the door if he needs to go out. He gets along well with everyone. I have 2 cats, which he pays no mind to, a Shetland Sheepdog and a dachshund/coonhound mix living in the home. I also have 2 teenage children. Sherman fell right into our daily routine. He is a highly intelligent animal. After a few hours he knew where everything was  - water bowl, doors to go outside , where he was to eat and sleep. Please open your home and heart to this sweetheart of a dog! He is very laid back and loves to cuddle, but he can also keep up with you when you go for long walks. He is the perfect package! A forever friend that will love you till the end!
