Adoption Fee:  $250.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
 

Meet Schatzi! She is a little red Miniature Dachshund that was owner-surrendered directly to Little Paws Dachshund Rescue because her owner fell on hard times and couldn't afford to keep her or her brother (Eko) any longer. She is a wonderful little companion that is full of love and life! She is house trained, crate trained, and well-behaved. She is great with respectful children and loves being with other dogs. It would be better for her to be in a home with at least one more dog. She knows her name well and comes when called. She is quite spunky and likes to play with toys or another dog sometimes. Schatzi loves to cuddle and give kisses. She stays right by my side when I'm at home, and LOVES to take walks on a leash. Schatzi loves to eat! She is a perfect little girl, and I would love to keep her if I hadn't reached my limit on dogs. (Honestly, I cannot find one negative issue with Schatzi!) She is a happy-go-lucky little girl.

Schatzi is about 8yrs young and weighs 9lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and has been spayed. No health issues that we are aware of.
