Andrew is most likely a wirehaired dachshund mix, possibly with schnauzer.  He is fine with other dogs, however, we feel he would really thrive in a home where he is the only dog and gets a lot of attention.  Andrew definitely had a rough past and although he has not been aggressive in any way, he definitely gets skittish in certain situations.  He is working on his potty training outside but he does great with potty pads in the house.  We feel like with time and lots of consistency and praise this will improve.  He will love a home with someone to snuggle on the couch with.  He enjoys spending time in his foster dad's fenced backyard, but seems to prefer when there are no other dogs out there with him.  He absolutely loves sleeping in the big bed while being held.  He is a sweet, great little boy that needs someone special to love him forever.  Would that be you? 

Adoption Fee:  $275.00 + $35.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $125 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.
