Oscar is a 22lb dachshund-terrier mix who is 10 years old. Oscar is looking for a new home as his previous owner sadly passed away. He’s a fun and easygoing guy who has clearly been well looked after. He is low maintenance, easy to please, and will fit in with any home. He came to rescue with his buddy Aly and while they are not extremely bonded we would like to see them go to their new home together.

Environment

Oscar is house trained and crate trained, but doesn’t really need to be crated as he will listen well and respect the boundaries you give him. He isn’t very chatty so shared walls would be a-ok!

Pets & People

Oscar has done well with all dogs he’s encountered so far, he’s friendly but he doesn’t really play. He’s patient with young pups and is happy to share toys and food. He’s not super food motivated and tends to graze so he’s been fed in another room. 

With people, Oscar is a lover. He meets new people at the door and waits very patiently to say hello and get a scratch. He has yet to be tested with any children but he’s so amicable and docile that we don’t foresee any issues.
